The Loves of my Life! A very amazing Blog Post!

Does anyone believe that God imprints the taste for a spouse directly into the fabric of ones soul?  Check out these pictures for proof.  These are the true loves of my life.  Pictures taken the same year.  Hee hee.  Now this is funny.  LOL.

  8. 🙂 LOL (I’ve never heard of Leif either, Ashlee….) Kinda reminds me of Ricky Nelson’s twin sons, too. (from their 80’s looks)

  10. Its really strange. My recollection is that Lief recorded an album (entitled “Lief Garrett”) in 1977. The biggest hit on the album for Lief was his cover of the Beach Boys tune, California Girls in which Leif sang the lyrics,

“The mid-west farmers daughters really prophesy alright
And the northern girls with their glossalalalia
They keep their boyfriends interpreting alot”

    Wow now that is amazing!

  12. Dan, that was really funny!

Wow Joie! Amazing resemblance between the dudes! As I recall, David Cassidy was my guy during that era! I think I was secretly just envious of his beautiful hair. I wonder if he has any now!

  14. I wonder if anyone can tell by my spouse the country
    “SUPERSTAR” I fell for. Here’s a CLUE…

    “Country roads take me home
to the place I belong West
    Virginia Mountain mama take
    me home Country roads”

  15. I loved John Denver, too! I sang that song on the bus ride to elementary school in northwestern Wisconsin about 200 years ago. Makes me want to dig up some old music! How ’bout the Bay City Rollers, or Captain and Tenille? Anyone?

  16. ok, for you young no cultured minds of the 70’s and 80’ was Leif Garrett, Shaun Cassidy, Andy Gibb, and Scott Baio, oh lets not forget Willie Ames….these were the loves of life and sold many teen beat and tiger beat mags!!! I hear ya Joie!! Doug and Leif will pass, but wee all know Doug can sing Run Around Sue better!!!hehee..Love ya, miss ys and miss those boys too!!!:)

  17. I never bought any magazines or posters, but the first song I ever played on the guitar was a John Denver song. I always thought all of you girls who were lovesick for all those “Posterheads” needed to hit the books more. I grew up on 60’s folk music and classical.
